Your instructor will ask you for final questions in class. During this time, you may ask for questions regarding the move of the day, or general techniques and partner positions. These moments are a great way to bond with your fellow students. During a submission hold, tap as early as possible. If you're not sure of your technique, you can fight out quickly. Remember that fighting out of a badly applied submission is not a bad idea; it's better to err on the side of caution.

Be careful around your significant other. Most people who practice BJJ don't get enough sleep and are constantly exhausted. Eventually, this fatigue will affect their life, their health, and their relationships with other people. A lack of sleep will also prevent you from getting any restful rest. If you're planning to compete in a tournament, don't brag about your belt!
